Anaconda Expedition
Indians  Rio Negro and Jungle Survival

This new and special expedition brings you to indian communities and Sahu Ape and Dessania tribes along the Rio Negro River and Ariau River.
Their Tuchauas will show us their tribes, its myths, legends and rituais. We will live with the indians, explore with them the jungle, its wildlife and exotic plants and learn how to survive as a man in the jungle.

Details of ANACONDA EXPEDITION

01 day.

Our expedition starts at 07:30 hours in the morning. We will sail in a regional boat to the IPIXUNA indigenous community, passing the meeting of the waters (Rio Negro and Solimoes rivers). Near the community we will switch to small canoes to enter deep into the flooded jungle areas (speciality Amazon Riders). We will see the magnificant Victoria Regias and the jungle of the squirrel monkeys and go for fishing of sardinas and Piranhas (for our dinner).

During a small trekking through virgin jungle, we will watch the Bullet Ants (Tucandeiras).

At the end of the day we will continue our expedition up the Rio Negro up to the Camaleao Island, where we will prepare our dinner (piranhas and other fishes caught) and spend the night on the boat in hammocks (optional suites).

02 day.
We continue our expedition into the Ariaú river to the indian community SAHU APÈ, where we will ask the Tuxaua (indian head) for permission to visit his village.

The indians will show us their pharmacy of medical plants and jungle fruit plantations. After lunch with the tibe we will explorar different eco-systems by canoe and observe capuchine monkeys, lizards (iguanas~), exotic birds and plants.

As we will spend the night in the indigenous communtiy, the indians will invite us the mystic Tucandeira welcome ritual, iniciated by the Shaman (indian doctor)of the Sahu Ape. Already being accepted as part of the community, we will sleep in native houses in hammocks with mosquito nets.

03 day.

After sunrise tour in indigenous canoes and breakfast we will explore with indian guides their jungle, get to know medical plants and exotic insects and learn from the indians how to survive in the jungle.

In the afternoon we will continue our expedition in the regional boat to the mouth of the Aruau River, where we will see orquideias, parasite plants and in the night spot caimans. Overnight on the regional boat.

04 day
After arriving at the Acajatuba lake we will swim with the pink and grey dolphins and get to know their way of life.

After lunch we will visit some natives in the region and see their manioc plantations and their way to produce farinha from the manioc plants. The night we will spend in caboclos houses and hear some legends from the Acajatuba region. Overnight in caboclos house in hammocks with mosquito-nets.

05 day.
After lunch on the boat we will prepare our expedition into deep virgin jungle and survival training for one day and one night.

We will build our jungle camp in the style of the hunter, watch animals and learn hunting with speer, bow and arrow. The guide will show us, how natives find their way in the jungle without GPS. Overnight in the jungle, with the possiblity to hear the sounds of a jaguar.

06 day.
After a typical hunter breakfast we will return to the regional boat and sail to the Anavilhanas Archipel, where we will explore the islands, sandy river beaches and a variety of birds including Tucanos. At night we will try to spot in small canoes animals, snakes and Anacondas and Boa Constrictors. Overnight on the jungle of the Anavilhanas Archipel or optional on the regional boat.

07 day.
Sailing on the Rio Negro towards manaus, we will visit the Community of the Dessanas Indians, near the Tupi ecological reserve. We will assist music and dancing of the indias and learn a little bit of ther language. Lunch on the beautiful Tupe river beach. 

After having some caipirinhas, we will arrive in Manaus around 18:00 hours.
